A Northeast Iowa motorist is being charged with causing a one-vehicle rollover accident in Fayette County.


It happened shortly after noon Monday (March 20) at the intersection of Highway 18 and Rose Road, just north of Hawkeye.

20 year old Benjamin McIntyre of Hawkeye was driving west on 18, attempting a right turn onto Rose Road, when he lost control. The car, a 2001 Ford Mustang, crossed the center line and rolled into the ditch.

McIntyre was not injured; he was charged with Failure to Maintain Control.

The Fayette County Sheriff investigated the accident.
