Motorcyclist Hurt When He Ran into a Deer
An eastern Iowa man has been injured in an early morning accident, in which his motorcycle collided with a deer.
According to the Linn County Sheriff, it happened at about 12:30am today (Thursday, Oct. 18) near Mt. Vernon, on West Mt. Vernon Road.
A motorcycle operated by 63 year old Daniel Reilly of Mt. Vernon, was traveling east, when he collided with a deer that was in the road.
Reilly was taken to Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. Reilly was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
