A Northeast Iowa teenager reported missing January 5th, has been located, and is safe.


According to Clayton County Sheriff Mike Tschirgi, 16 year old Jody Ann Palmer of Colesburg was found Wednesday (Jan. 16). Palmer is reported to be safe, but the incident remains under investigation.

Palmer had last been seen January 5th; authorities had indicated that she could have traveled east out of the state, or possibly go west to California.

Sheriff Tschirgi notes that the case remains open, but further details cannot be released yet.

The Clayton County Sheriff was assisted in the investigation by the Iowa DCI, along with information from the public garnered through social media.
