An Eastern Iowa man has been seriously injured in a one-vehicle accident in Linn County.


Just before 11pm last night (Tuesday, Nov. 27), emergency workers were summoned to an accident at the Highway 30 eastbound ramp, to the Highway 13 northbound ramp, west of Mount Vernon.

A car driven by 43 year old Daniel Johnson of Marion, went out of control and rolled, ejecting Johnson, who was not wearing a seat belt. He was the only occupant of the car.

Johnson sustained life-threatening injuries; he was flown by LifeGuard Air Ambulance to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids; a condition report was not available.

The accident is under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff and Iowa State Patrol.
