Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding the suspects involved in a shooting at a north central Iowa rest stop.

At about 1:30am Sunday (Jan. 28), the Franklin County Sheriff was alerted of a shooting at the rest stop located just east of Dows. The victim of the shooting was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Law enforcement is turning to the public for assistance in identifying the two suspects in the shooting, who were caught on surveillance video at a nearby convenience store, just before the incident happened.

The couple drove away in a gray or silver SUV, possibly a Jeep Cherokee. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the Franklin County Sheriff or local law enforcement.
