Local Woman Recovers from Accident that Ended a Chase

An Oelwein woman is recovering from injuries in an accident in Waterloo, in which she was being chased by police.

33 year old Jade McAllister led Waterloo Police on a chase last Tuesday, July 17th, east on Airline Highway, but she crashed into a tree, stopping on a bridge railing.

Waterloo Police were seeking to talk with McAllister about her involvement in a fight at Fantasy Theatre, where she worked. But she fled the business before officers could talk with her.

After the accident, McAllister was found under the bridge near the accident scene.

She was taken to Allen Hospital for treatment.
