Local Woman Arrested on Warrant for Theft

An Oelwein woman has been arrested on an outstanding warrant for theft, plus a driving violation.

At about 12:30am Monday (Dec. 3), Fayette County deputies stopped a car on Highway 150 in Oelwein. The driver, 42 year old Jammie Beisell, was charged with Driving While Barred. Beisell also had an active warrant for her arrest in Wright County, for failure to appear on a 3rd Degree Theft charge.

A resident of Prairie View Residential Facility near Fayette has been arrested following a weekend fight.

Fayette County deputies were called to Prairie View shortly after 5pm Sunday (Dec. 2) on the report of a fight in progress. After an investigation, 29 year old Adam Coombe of Council Bluffs was charged with assault, for allegedly assaulting another resident of the facility. Coombe was taken to the Fayette County jail in West Union and held until his initial court appearance.

The Fayette County Sheriff was assisted by the Iowa DNR.
