Local Man Arrested for Alleged Assault

An Oelwein man has been arrested following the investigation of a Thursday night assault.

Oelwein police received a report at about 10pm Thursday of an assault in the 100 block of 3rd Avenue SE.

Responding officers arrested 27 year old Lonnie Jordan on a charge of assault with a weapon, which is an aggravated misdemeanor.
