A Fairfax family has been wowing passersby for nearly a decade with their vibrant holiday lights. This year, however, their Christmas spirit has extra special meaning.

The neighborhood added a fundraiser this year that will benefit an Eastern Iowa family. Tim Martin was 41 when he died in a motorcycle accident, leaving behind his wife and five children.

Steve Tomash is the man behind the large Christmas light display. Tomash told KCRG he and his wife worked with the Martin family at College Community Schools and wanted to do something for the family.

The light show plays to the tunes of its own radio station. There's even a Frozen section that plays "Let It Go" and includes a microphone for kids to sing along with.

Throughout the display there are donation bins for people to add money or food. They will also have Christmas caroling in the neighborhood on December 17th.

Drivers can see the display on Hillview Drive in Fairfax; the Tomash family suggests visiting in the next few weeks, as many more people come out closer to Christmas.
