Iowan May Be Competing On “Dancing With The Stars”

There is no official word yet, but several reports are circulating that another Iowan will be part of the television show "Dancing With The Stars".

Olympian Lolo Jones, who grew up in Des Moines, is rumored to be part of the ABC-TV show's cast for the upcoming 19th season, which debuts September 15th, 2014. E! News first reported the story on Wednesday (August 27th). "Us Weekly" later published a similar online story, saying a source had confirmed the news.

There is no official word, though, from ABC. The network will reveal the full cast for the new season of "DWTS" on "Good Morning America" on September 4th.

Jones, 32, is a three-time Olympian. She competed as a hurdler in the 2008 and 2012 Summer Games and as a bobsledder in the 2014 Winter Games.

Another Olympian from Iowa twice competed on "Dancing With The Stars". West Des Moines gymnast Shawn Johnson was part of the winning dance team in season eight. She finished second in season 15.
