The state of Iowa loves football. We cheer on our Hawkeyes and Cyclones. We have allegiances to NFL teams in neighboring states. But on Friday nights this state focuses on high school football. Some amazing things happen under the 'Friday Night Lights' in Eastern Iowa, including this week during a game between Williamsburg and South Tama.

Williamsburg would go on to win the game by a final score of 61-6. But amazingly that wasn't the biggest story coming out of this game. That would belong to Williamsburg Raider Rayce Heitman. What he did in the first quarter of last Friday night's game is a feat that you can't even dream up in video games! Heitman scored FOUR touchdowns in the first quarter and NONE of them were with the Williamsburg offense on the field. How is that possible? See for yourself!

That's right. Two punt returns for touchdowns and two pick-sixes on defense for touchdowns. It was 27 -0 Williamsburg and the offense hadn't even stepped onto the field yet! Talk about demoralizing your opponent. The Raiders are off to a hot start in 2023. With the win over South Tama, they improved to 5-0 on the year. They'll be on the road at Fairfield this Friday night.

Just a quick tip for opponents of the Raiders for the rest of the season. Watch out for #6 Rayce Heitman. He knows how to score.
