Investigation Nets the Arrests of 3 in Fayette Co. Sex Assaults

After a lengthy investigation, Fayette County authorities have arrested 3 local residents for sexual abuse.

Following a six month investigation, 22 year old Philip Zupke and 18 year old Joel Zupke, both of Randalia, and 19 year old James Hanson of Fayette were taken into custody on charges of Sexual Abuse in the 2nd Degree.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff, the three committed a sex act on 2 females, under the age of 12, in 2005 and 2006.

All will be charged as adults, even though they were juveniles at the time of the assaults. They could be referred back to Juvenile court for prosecution.

If convicted, the suspects could face up to 25 years in prison.
