Investigation Into Beer and Snack Truck Burglaries

Authorities in nearby Southwest Wisconsin are on the lookout for a thief who was apparently hungry and thirsty.

On Tuesday (June 19), the Crawford County Sheriff's department received a report that someone had forced entry into a Budweiser cargo trailer by cutting a padlock, and stealing several cases of beer.

Also, a nearby Frito-Lay cargo truck was broken into; a window was smashed out. It was unknown if any of the chips were taken.

Both vehicles had been parked behind the Bridgeport Inn Hotel, on the south edge of Prairie du Chien, in Bridgeport Township. The incident happened sometime between 4pm Monday, and 4am Tuesday.
