THE 12TH WIN:
Iowa (12-0, 8-0) defeated Nebraska (5-7, 3-5), 28-20, Saturday (Nov. 27) at Memorial Stadium (Lincoln, NE) to close out the 2015 season. It's Iowa's fifth road win this year. That's the fourth time in school history Iowa recorded five road wins in a season (1982, 1991, 2002).

On Sunday, December 7, the College Football Playoff Selection Committee will announce the playoff semifinal pairings and site assignments live on ESPN’s College Football Playoff Selection Show Presented by AT&T starting at 11:30 PM-CT.

At 1:45 PM-CT, the College Football Playoff Selection Committee will announce the final top 25 rankings of the season. In addition, the Cotton, Fiesta and Peach Bowl pairings will be announced. At this time, the Orange Bowl pairing will also be announced.

HAWKEYES 12-0:
Although it is not the first time the Hawkeyes ended a season undefeated, it is the first time the football program won 12 games in a single season. It is the fifth undefeated season overall, and first time since 1922: (1899, 8-0-1; 1900, 8-0-1; 1921, 7-0; 1922, 7-0).

Quarterback C.J. Beathard is 13-0 as Iowa’s starting quarterback, a record that includes a 6-0 mark on the road, a 7-0 mark at home, and an 9-0 mark in the Big Ten. He is the only quarterback in school history to win his first 13 career starts.

Running Back Jordan Canzeri scored two touchdowns (28, 68) on consecutive plays from scrimmage in the third quarter. Canzeri became the 14th player in program history to rush for 2,000 yards in a career (2053) .

The Hawkeyes travel to Indianapolis to compete in the Big Ten Championship game on Dec. 5. Kick off is at 7:17 PM-CT on FOX. Iowa’s opponent will be determined, Saturday, Nov. 28.
