Fayette Sheriff Makes Separate Arrests for OWI and Assault

A call to authorities reporting a driving complaint, has resulted in the arrest of an area man.

At about 10:45am Saturday (May 5), the Fayette County Sheriff got a 911 call reporting the errant driver south of Arlington on "C" Avenue. Responding deputies discovered the driver, 49 year old Paul Romine, was headed north, when he lost control of his pickup, driving it into the ditch.

No one was injured, but Romine was found to be operating under the influence. Romine was taken to the Fayette County jail, to appear before a judge.

A Maynard man faces an assault charge. At about 2pm Thursday (May 3) Fayette County deputies were called to a residence in Maynard for a domestic dispute.

47 year old David Devore of Maynard was charged with Simple Domestic Abuse Assault. He was held pending an appearance before a magistrate.
