Fayette Sheriff Makes Arrests on Assault and Warrants

The Fayette County Sheriff is charging a West Union man with assault following a weekend incident.

Shortly after 2:30pm Sunday (Nov. 4) the sheriff took a report of an assault at a residence near West Union on Harding Road. Authorities determined that after the assault, the suspect fled the scene. He was identified as 21 year old Kevin Guyer. He was later located at his home, where he was arrested on a charge of assault.

The Fayette County Sheriff arrested 3 area residents Friday night on various warrants. 27 year old Sean Stakke of Postville was arrested on a Fayette County Mittimus warrant, for failing to serve his 2 day jail sentence for OWI.

39 year old Graig Bemiss of Oelwein was taken into custody on a Fayette County Warrant for Violation of Parole.

And 43 year old Connie Conner of Sumner had 2 valid warrants, for Failure to Appear for an illegal possession of prescription pills charge, and a mittimus warrant for not serving jail time on a contempt charge.
