Fayette County Traffic Accidents Reported…

The Fayette County Sheriff's office reports a couple of recent traffic accidents.

On Sunday, authorities got a report of a vehicle in the ditch in the 3,000 block of "C" avenue.

20 year old Megan Flexsenhar of Masonville was driving north, when she overcorrected and lost control, driving into the ditch. No one was injured, and damages were estimated at $500.

The other accident was reported last Thursday afternoon, on Old Road, just west of Oelwein. 16 year old Elliot Phillips of Oelwein was driving west when he lost control and drove into the ditch.

He was not hurt, but the car was totaled. That accident is still under investigation.
