The Fayette County Sheriff reports a couple of traffic accidents involving deer.


The latest accident happened at about 10pm Tuesday (June 5), at the intersection of Highway 18 and Harvest Road, northeast of West Union. A car driven by 40 year old Bridget Ronan of Dorchester collided with a deer in the road. No one was injured, but there was $4,500 damage to her 2008 Chrysler.

The other accident occurred at about 5:30am Tuesday, 3 miles west of Clermont on Great River Road. 55 year old Sara Vagts of West Union was driving east, when she struck a deer that was on the road. Again, no one was hurt, but damages to her 2010 Chevrolet Suburban totaled $5,000.
