A young Oelwein man has been arrested following an incident early Monday (yesterday).

At about 12:30am Monday, a Fayette County deputy pulled over a vehicle for erratic driving on Highway 3, on the northwest outskirts of Oelwein.

Following the investigation, the driver, 18 year old Michael Gould was taken into custody for driving while his license is suspended. He was held in the county jail until his initial court appearance.

A Clermont man faces charges from a weekend incident at an area business.

At about 10pm Friday, the Fayette County sheriff got a report of a man causing a disturbance at the Valley C store in Clermont.

56 year old Mark Gingerich was arrested and charged with public intoxication, and disorderly conduct.
