Fayette Co. Sheriff Notes Pickup/Deer Accidents

The Fayette County Sheriff reports 2 weekend accidents involving deer.

The latest one happened just before 7pm Sunday (March 5) on Harding Road, northeast of West Union.

34 year old Glenn Wolcott of West Union was driving southbound, when he struck a deer that was going across the road. No one was injured, but there was $1,500 damage to his 2004 Dodge Durango.

The other accident was Saturday at about 6:30pm, on 100th Street, west of Westgate. 69 year old Lyle Gordon of Westgate was traveling east, when a deer walked out onto the road and was struck.

No injuries were reported; his 2016 Chevrolet Silverado sustained $5,000 in damage.
