Fayette Co. Deputies Make Arrest for Warrant

A Northeast Iowa man has been arrested early Friday morning, on an outstanding warrant.

At about 12:30am, a Fayette County deputy took 47 year old Jason Reynolds of West Union, into custody, on an outstanding Fayette County warrant for a parole violation. The original charge was Assault with the Intent to Commit Sexual Assault. The Fayette County Sheriff was assisted by Postville Police and the Allamakee County Sheriff.

Authorities have arrested a Clermont man for not finishing his jail sentence. Shortly after 11pm Thursday, the Fayette County Sheriff took 35 year old Matthew MacTaggart into custody, on a Mittimus, for Failure to do Jail Time. He was originally charged with Driving While his License is Suspended. MacTaggart was held until he completes his 2 day jail sentence.
