Fayette Co. Accident Injures 4, Totals 2 Vehicles

Charges may be filed in a weekend accident in Fayette County, that put 4 people in the hospital and totaled both vehicles.

It happened at about 4:30pm Sunday (Nov. 4th) at the intersection of "O" Avenue and 210th Street, an uncontrolled intersection east of Hawkeye.

An eastbound pickup driven by 19 year old Michael Boleyn of Elgin crashed into a truck driven by 36 year old Jonathan Steinbronn of Fairbank.

Both vehicles were considered a total loss.

Two of the occupants were taken to the West Union hospital, and 2 were taken to the Sumner hospital.

The accident is under investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff's office. Deputies were assisted by the Hawkeye Fire Department, Hawkeye First Responders, Tri-State Ambulance and Fayette Ambulance.
