Heavy dust generated from vehicles on a gravel road, has apparently contributed to a four-vehicle accident in rural Linn County.

At about 4:30pm Saturday, the Linn County Sheriff, fire departments from Coggon and Prairieburg, and the Manchester Ambulance, were called to a car crash on Pool Road, south of Coggon.

A car driven by 25 year old Ryan Mulnix of Mount Vernon, collided with a car driven by 18 year old Hanna Krivit of Cedar Rapids.

Another vehicle, driven by 23 year old Patrick Fagan of Cedar Rapids, struck Mulnix's car; and a car driven by 19 year old Josiah Wyatt of Coggon hit Fagan's vehicle.

The only person injured was 25 year old Kelley Mason of North Liberty, who was a passenger in Mulnix's car. Mason was taken to a Cedar Rapids hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

According to the Linn County Sheriff's Office, which is investigating the accident, heavy dust from the gravel road was a contributing factor.
