Dubuque Shooting Death Victim Identified

21 year old James "Jimmy" Richardson of Freeport, Illionis, was found in a yard in the 700 block of Rhomberg Avenue late Sunday night.

Dubuque police found Richardson after responding to the report of gunfire in the area. He was unresponsive. Richardson was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Richardson apparently sustained a gunshow wound, and police were able to find a firearm at the scene.

According to authorities, Richardson and his assailant apparently knew each other. No arrests have been made.
