Drunken Stroll on Highway Leads to Arrest

Fayette County authorities have filed charges against an area man, accused of walking on a highway, while he was under the influence.

Just before 3pm Sunday (May 7), the Fayette County Sheriff got a report that a man was seen walking on the traveled portion of Highway 187, near Arlington.

When officers arrived, they determined that the man, identified as 20 year old Seth Rohrick of Oelwein, was walking into the roadway while he was intoxicated.

Rohrick was taken into custody on a charge of Public Intoxication.

He was held in the county jail until an initial court appearance.
