Driver Swerves, Misses Deer, Goes into Ditch

The Fayette County Sheriff is investigating an accident, in which a driver swerved to avoid a deer, going into a nearby ditch.

It happened at about 4pm Friday (April 6) on 100th Street, just east of Maynard. An eastbound car driven by 19 year old Javon Wilson of Chicago, went out of control when Wilson swerved his car to avoid a collission with a deer in the road.

The car crossed the road and entered a ditch. Wilson and a passenger in the car, were not hurt.

There was $3,500 damage to his 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt.
