Driver Hurt When an Accident Pushes a Tree into Her Vehicle

A teenage driver had to be taken to the hospital, after she slammed into a tree in Fayette County.

The accident was reported to the Fayette County Sheriff at about 12:20am Friday (July 27), on Neon Road, about a mmile west of Auburn.

A 17 year old female was driving her car south, when it entered the ditch. The car came to an abrupt halt when it struck a tree; a portion of the tree aparently entered the vehicle.

The girl was taken to a local hospital then airlifted to a LaCrosse, Wisconsin hospital.

The vehicle, a 2006 Hyundai Azera, was totaled. The accident is still under investigation.
