Driver Charged in Rollover Near Westgate

A motorist is being charged with causing a one-vehicle rollover in Fayette County.

The accident occurred just after 10am Tuesday (Nov. 21) at the intersection of 100th Street and "T" Avenue, at Westgate.

56 year old Nazario Uribe was driving an SUV westbound on 100th, when a vehicle in front of him, slowed down to turn at the intersection. Uribe swerved to avoid a collision, but lost control and drove into the ditch, where the vehicle rolled onto the driver's side.

No one was injured, but the 2000 Chevrolet Blazer was totaled.

Uribe was charged with Failure to Maintain Control, and Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.
