All of Eastern Iowa is under a Dense Fog Advisory for Friday, October 24, 2014.  Widespread visibility of one-quarter mile or less continues throughout the area. Visibility near zero in some locations.  This is causing some schools to delay the start of their day.

A dense fog advisory means visibility will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving in it, please slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

Use extreme caution when approaching intersections and railroad crossings as oncoming vehicles and trains may be hidden by the dense fog. Be especially careful near school bus stops and children boarding a school bus.
