The Iowa State Patrol has released the name of the victim of a deadly accident in Northeast Iowa, involving a motorcycle and a tractor.


It happened shortly after 11am Thursday (Oct. 5), a mile south of Dyersville, on Highway 136.

82 year old Francis Naber of Dyersville was driving the tractor, pulling a manure wagon, when he attempted to turn left into a farm drive.

A motorcycle following the tractor, driven by 60 year old David Jones of Palatka, Florida, tried to pass the tractor, and the two collided.

Jones was pronounced dead at the scene. Naber was not hurt.

The accident remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol, assisted by the Dyersville Police Department, Dyersville Fire Department, and Dubuque County Sheriff's Office.
