Day one of the 28th Annual Hawkeye Farm Show is underway.  Three days filled with ISU Extension Seminars, vendors from all over the midwest and people, people, people.  This year there are more than 220 vendors with exhibits of tractors, spreaders, haulers, wagons, flag poles, burners, tools, tires, toys, discs, seed, fuel and more.

Each day one lucky attendee will win $1000 in Showdollars to spend at the show, with the vendors on the floor.  That drawing is held at 1pm each day and is sponsored by Becks Hybrids.  Every morning Billion Auto sponsors free coffee and donuts for attendees.  Of course admission is free and so is the parking.  Come early, stay as long as you would like and visit with neighbors and friends you haven't even met yet.

For me, no show is ever complete without a visit to the Frederika Locker for some beef sticks, cheese  curds and other tasty treats.  Of course, that is done between live broadcasts of market numbers and news.

Hope to see you this week at the 28th Annual Hawkeye Farm Show in the warm and weatherless UNI Dome in Cedar Falls.  Stop by the KOEL AM 950 booth to say hello to Liz Brown.
