Following a victory on the road last weekend, the Upper Iowa Peacocks return home to face Augustana (South Dakota) on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 22, 2016).

Kick-off is scheduled at 3:07 p.m. at Harms-Eischeid Stadium. It will be the 10th all-time meeting between the two programs. The Vikings are 8-1 all-time against the Peacocks.

The Peacocks (2-5 overall, 1-2 NSIC South) are looking for their second-straight victory following a 41-21 win at Concordia-St. Paul, their first over the Golden Bears on the road. Augustana (4-3, 1-2) is looking to bounce back from last week's 42-35 setback to Minnesota State-Mankato at home.

The Vikings enter Saturday's game averaging 41.9 points per game and 492.4 yards of total offense, which ranks fifth in the Northern Sun Conference (NSIC). Augustana's passing attack, led by senior quarterback Trey Heid, is averaging a league-best 331.1 yards per game, which is the eighth-best in the country. Heid leads the NSIC in passing yards (2,180) and passing touchdowns (24) and ranks second in the nation averaging 378.1 yards of total offense per game.

By comparison, Upper Iowa is averaging 451.7 yards of offense and 27.8 points per game in 2016. The Peacocks have allowed 424.4 yards and 28.8 points per game on the year.

It's Salute to Service Day in Fayette, as the Peacocks salute area firefighters, paramedics and law enforcement officials. The will were a special helmet sticker in honor of Steve Owen, the father of former football players Chadd and Brandon Owen. Steve Owen was a sergeant in the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department who was killed in the duty on Oct. 5. The 29-year veteran was recognized during his career with the agency's highest honor for courage.
