Kyle Leahy tossed his second consecutive complete game as the Waterloo Bucks shutout Thunder Bay, 3-0, at Riverfront Stadium Monday night (June 19, 2017).

A double steal allowed the Bucks (16-4) to manufacture their first run in the third inning. Deion Thompson broke for home when the Border Cats (7-14) attempted to gun down Dalton Hurd at second, after both Waterloo players singled to reach base. Later in the frame, Hurd scored on Ian Nelson's double to right-center field.

The Bucks increased their lead to 3-0 in the seventh inning when Keaton Presley poked an RBI single to right, plating newcomer Tyler Stover.

Leahy (2-0) scattered six hits, struck out seven batters and walked two while going the distance on the mound. He hasn't allowed an earned run in 13 innings.

The victory was the ninth in a row for the Bucks, and their third over Thunder Bay in a span of five days.

UP NEXT: The Bucks complete their two-game home series against the Border Cats on Tuesday (June 20). They host Thunder Bay at 6:35 p.m. at Riverfront Stadium in Waterloo.
