Round 1 of the Bill Colwell Ford Main Event closed, and Round 2 has begun during Iowa's Virtual Dirt Track Classic. The Top 12 in each division fight to advance to the final round.

After seven days of voting, Round 1 came to a close with some very tight battles for a transfer spot from Round 1 to Round 2. The 'Top 4' drivers in each heat advanced. Then the 'Next 4' highest vote-getters, regardless of which heat they were in, advanced to Round 2.

Voting for Round 2 has began (see polls below), and you can vote once every 24 hours. Round 2 voting ends on Thursday, February 9 at 5:00 PM. The 'Top 6' drivers in each division will advance to the third and final round of the Bill Cowell Ford in Hudson, Iowa.

MODIFIEDS ROUND 1: Final Recap
Kelly Shryock took the win in Heat 1. Richie Gustin Jr. and Ricky Thorton Jr. battle side-by-side the way. In the end Gustin edged Thorton by five votes for second. Joel Rust rounded out the 'Top 4'. Corey Dripps set fast time (most votes) on the way to winning Heat 2. Vern Jackson and Ronn Lauritzen finished second and third. A late race move by Mark Schulte pushed him into the fourth and final transfer position in Heat 2. The 'Next 4' highest vote-getters included Ricky Stephan, Chris Zogg, Dylan Book, and Chris Ableson all advanced to Round 2 Bill Colwell Ford Main Event.

LATE MODELS ROUND 1: Final Recap
On the final day of Round 1 of the Bill Colwell Ford Main Event, Tyler Bruening closed in on race leader Jake Neal, but Neal held off Bruening by three votes for the win. Matt Ryan and Chad Holladay rounded out the 'Top 4'. Fast-timer (most votes) Jeff Aikey cruised to the win in Heat 2. Tyler Droste, Darrell DeFrance, and Justin Kay completed the 'Top 4'. Joel Callahan topped the 'Next 4' to advance to Round 2. Rob Toland was second. Ryan Dolan had a late race push to move into a transfer position finishing third in the 'Next 4 race', and Paul Glendenning was fourth.

STOCK CARS ROUND 1: Final Recap
Heat 1 winner Damon Murty earned the most votes of all drivers in all divisions. Nathan Wood finished second followed by Chad Palmer and Jeff Mueller. Mike Nichols lead Heat 2 when the field hit the halfway point, but Devin Smith made a pass for the lead on the last day of Round 1. Smith edged Nichols by seven votes. Tom Schmitt and Donavon Smith completed the 'Top 4'. The 'Next 4' transfers were led by David Smith. Todd Inman, Mitch Hovden, and John Oliver Jr. advanced to Round 2 of the Bill Colwell Ford Main Event.

HOBBY SOTCK ROUND 1: Final Recap
Benji Irvine scored fast time (most votes) when he took the checkered flag in Heat 1. Shannon Anderson came home second followed by Eric Stanton. Luke Ramsey edged John Watson for the fourth and final transfer spot by 6 votes. Cody Nielsen won Heat 2 during Round 1 of the Bill Colwell Ford Main Event. Matt White wasn't even in the 'Top 4' at the halfway point of Round 1, but dashed his way towards the front to finish second. Nathan Ballard and Daniel Smith rounded out the 'Top 4'. The 'Next 4' drivers included Dylan Fitzpatrick, Weston Koop, Jason Kohl, and John Watson.

SPORTMOD/BMOD ROUND 1: Final Recap
Fast-timer (most votes) Client Luellen powered his way to the win in Heat 1. Tony Olson finished second. Jared VanDeest finished third. Nick Meyer made a last lap move to finish fourth. Doug Smith topped the field in Heat 2. Tyler Soppe ran a comfortable second. Nate Chodur had a great second half of the race to climb up to finish third. Curtis Van Der Wal rounded out the 'Top 4'. Kyle Anderson led the 'Next 4' drivers. Jonathon Logue, Troy Hovey, and Mitch Van Engen advanced to Round 2 of the Bill Colwell Ford Main Event.
