Iowa High School Girls Basketball Rankings – 02/04/2016
As the regular season begins to wind down for girls high school basketball teams across Iowa, a half dozen squads from the Cedar Valley and Northeast Iowa continue to be strong contenders to win a state championship.
Six area teams are considered to be among the best in Iowa, according to the latest prep rankings released by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU) on Thursday (Feb. 4, 2016). There was no movement for any of the teams in the past week.
Turkey Valley (19-0) continues to lead the Class-1A poll, while Grundy Center (18-1) remains No. 14 in Class-2A. The Class-3A rankings feature Center Point-Urbana (17-1) at No. 2 and La Porte (19-1) at No. 5, while Waverly-Shell Rock (16-3) is 11th in Class-4A and Cedar Falls (17-1) is No. 4 in Class-5A.
