Iowa High School Football 2017 Week 4 Area Schedule

Week four of the 2017 Iowa high school football season features the final non-district match-ups of the season for Class-4A teams across the state. There’s a full slate of games involving teams from the Cedar Valley and northeast Iowa that are scheduled to be played Friday night (Sept. 15).

Among the area games is a top-10 showdown in Class-2A. No. 2 Waukon plays at No. 7 Cascade.

In Class-A, there's a District 4 showdown in Winthrop, where East Buchanan -- on the verge of being ranked among the top 10 -- hosts No. 5 Wapsie Valley in a match-up that features two of the best teams in the district. Both squads enter the game undefeated.

Another similar battle takes place in Gilbertville, where Don Bosco hosts AGWSR in a non-district battle. Don Bosco is ranked No. 1 among the state's eight-player teams is considered to be the best team in District 3. AGWSR, ranked earlier in the season, is on the verge of cracking the top 10 again. The Cougars (2-1) are expected to challenge Turkey Valley for the District 3 title.

It's Homecoming for Waterloo West (2-1) tonight. The Wahawks host Marshalltown (1-2) at Memorial Stadium in their final non-district game of the season.
