Firefighters in Cedar Falls were called out to a weekend fire, involving a police squad car.


The fire happened Saturday, behind Cedar Falls City Hall where the vehicle was parked.

Before fire crews arrived, Cedar Falls Police were able to knock down the blaze, using a Compressed Air Foam System, which is found on board Cedar Falls patrol cars.

There was no indication on the estimate of damages to the squad car.

There were no injuries, and the cause of the blaze was not known, although officials note that it is not suspicious in nature.
