Car Collides with Deer in NE Iowa, No One Injured

An area woman escaped injury, but her car did not fare so well, after striking a deer in rural Fayette County.

50 year old Mary Kriegel of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, was driving north on "T" Avenue, south of Hawkeye, when a deer walked onto the road.

Kriegel struck the deer, losing control of her vehicle, which then entered a ditch.

Kriegel was not injured, but her 2007 Chrysler Pacifica sustained $2,000 in damage.
