A Northeast Iowa man has been arrested on an assault charge.


Shortly after 11pm Saturday (Sept. 30), the Fayette County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call, reporting a disturbance at the Echo Valley Speedway in West Union. After investigating, officers arrested 31 year old Nicholas Konen of Westgate on charges of Domestic Abuse Assault, and Disorderly Conduct. Konen was held in jail until his initial court appearance.

A West Union woman, 24 year old Darcy Miner, turned herself in to authorities Saturday. Miner had outstanding arrest warrants for Theft-2nd Degree, Theft-5th Degree, and interference with official acts. Miner was held in the Fayette County jail on $11,000 bond.

A West Union also turned himself in at the sheriff's office; 35 year old Cory Johnson had warrants for Violation of Probation: the original charge was Possession of a Controlled Substance; also failing to appear on charges of Burglary-2nd Degree, Possession of a Firearm as a Felon, and Driving While Barred. Johnson was held without bond.
