Authorities have arrested a local woman on violating a court order.


Oelwein Police were called out at about 8:30pm Wednesday (May 10) to the 10 block of 2nd Street NW, on the report of a disturbance. 39 year old Teegan Mae Black of Oelwein was taken into custody on a Fayette County warrant for Violation of a No-Contact Protective Order.

An Oelwein man, 32 year old Alando Starkey, was taken into custody Tuesday (May 9) on 2 Black Hawk County warrants. This was for a Pretrial Violation of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Carrying Weapons.

Late Wednesday night, Oelwein Police responded to a report of a dog at-large, in the 100 block of 7th Street SE. The dog's owner, 32 year old Adam Nielsen of Oelwein, was cited for that infraction.

And Monday evening, officers were called out on the report of suspicious people on property in the 10 block of 16th Street SE. After an investigation, 45 year old Cornell Lavon Jones of Chicago, was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony. They also arrested 26 year old Christopher Jackson, also of Chicago, for Possession of Marijuana, and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.
