Authorities are looking for a Fayette County man who allegedly failed to update his job status with the Iowa Sex Offender Registry.

Fayette County sheriff's officials have issued an arrest warrant Scott Dilley, 47, of Elgin. They are currently looking for Dilley and are asking the public for help in finding him.

According to a news release, deputies were asked to do a welfare check in the city of Elgin on Monday (July 9, 2017). Sheriff's officials said an investigation revealed that Dilley had failed to report a change in his employment to the state sex offender registry for months.

Dilley has been charged with failure to comply with the sex offender registry, an aggravated misdemeanor.

Anyone who has information on Dilley's whereabouts is asked to call the Fayette County Sheriff's Department at 563-422-6067.
