A Northeast Iowa woman has been injured in a traffic accident involving a deer.

The Fayette County Sheriff was called just before 6am Tuesday (May 8) to the accident scene, on "D" Avenue and 90th Street, a mile north of Arlington.

A vehicle driven by 58 year old Doric Coan of Wadena was traveling south, when she struck the deer in the roadway.

Coan sustained minor injuries; she was treated and released at the scene.

Her 2018 Subaru Outback had $5,000 in damage.

The Arlington Fire Department and Arlington Ambulance assisted the Fayette County Sheriff.
