Area Woman Arrested After Weekend Traffic Stop

A weekend traffic stop in Fayette County has resulted in the arrest of a Postville resident.

At about 12am Sunday (Aug. 27), a Fayette County Deputy pulled over a car for a traffic violation on Harding Road and 290th Street, 2 miles east of Clermont.

The driver, 42 year old Amanda Guese, was arrested for Operating While Intoxcated-1st Offense, and having an Open Container of Alcohol in the vehicle.

Guese was taken to the Fayette County jail, where she was held until making an initial court appearance.
