Three area teens face charges after a traffic stop in Oelwein.

It happened at about 2:45am today (Monday), when Oelwein police pulled over a car in the 300 block of 7th Street SW. The driver, 16 year old Gavin Kime of Hazleton, was charged with driving while his license is suspended and interference with official acts. 15 year old Justis Tielbein of Hazleton was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. And 17 year old Tyler Moore of Oelwein was charged with possession of a controlled substance and interference with official acts. All three were referred to juvenile court services.

An Oelwein man has been arrested after a traffic stop on South Frederick in Oelwein. 22 year old Joseph Hedgman was charged with unlawful possession of prescription drugs.

And just before midnight Friday, Oelwein police received two reports of a possible drunk driver in the Oelwein area. Officers found the supect vehicle and arrested 58 year old Craig Kogel of Alton, Illinois on charges of OWI third offense, and driving with a suspended license.
