Area Man Arrested After a Fayette County Traffic Stop

A Postville man faces charges after being pulled over in Fayette County.

At about 6pm Saturday (Jan. 5), a Fayette County deputy pulled over a vehicle near the intersection of Highway 18 and Garden Road, northeast of West Union.

During the traffic stop, the driver, 36 year old Nelson Godines of Postville was taken into custody on charges of Operating While Intoxicated, and not having a valid driver's license.

Godines was held in the Fayette County jail until his initial court appearance.
