Area Couple Arrested on Numerous Drug Charges

Following months of an investigation, an area couple has been arrested on a list of drug charges.

On Friday (March 10) authorities executed a search warrant at a residence on the south side of Prairie du Chien, based on an investigation that began six months ago, in October of 2016.

The residence is the property of 36 year old Steven Mahlstedt and 34 year old Jessica Mahlstedt. Officers recovered marijuana, methamphetamine, paraphernalia, and items used to distribute illegal drugs.

Steven Mahlstedt is being charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Delivery of Marijuana, Possession with the Intent to Deliver Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Jessica Mahlstedt is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession with the Intent to Deliver Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Both are being held in the Crawford County jail.

The incident is still under investigation, and more charges are pending.
