Another Driver Reminder: Don’t Veer for Deer
A Northeast Iowa motorist has rolled his car, while trying to avoid a collision with a deer.
The accident happened early this (Tuesday, Aug. 23) morning, at about 12:30am, 5 miles north of Hawkeye.
47 year old Daniel Mueller of Alpha was driving west on 245th Street, just west of Rose Road, when a deer ran out onto the road.
Mueller swerved to miss the deer, but in the process, rolled his car into the ditch.
No one was injured; there was $2,000 damage to the 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue. The accident was investigated by the Fayette County Sheriff's Office.
