Accident Results in a Car Trapped Between 2 Creek Banks

The Fayette County Sheriff is investigating an unusual accident that happened New Years Eve in the Volga River Recreation Area.

Shortly after 3pm Monday (Dec. 31), the sheriff received a call about a vehicle in the ditch; when deputies arrived, they found a car pinned between the banks of the creek.

The vehicle's owner, 23 year old Jie Teng of Fayette, was trapped inside the car. Jie was rescued from the vehicle and was treated for minor injuries. His 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse was totaled.

The Fayette County Sheriff was assisted by the Fayette Ambulance and Fire Department.
