A Clermont teenager is being charged with causing a two vehicle accident just north of West Union.

It happened just before 8:30pm Friday, at the intersection of Highway 150 and 240th street. 16 year old Johnathon Wander of Clermont was driving west on 240th street, when he collided with a southbound van driven by 66 year old Lawrence Sabelka of Decorah.

No injuries were reported; the van had $3,500 damage, while Wander's car was totaled. He is being charged with failure to yield to oncoming traffic.

West Union Police, West Union Fire, and Tri-State Ambulance assisted the Fayette County sheriff.
