2 Arrested in Oelwein on Warrants

Oelwein police report two people have been arrested on outstanding, but unrelated, warrants.

Just before 9am Tuesday, 21 year old Lathan Schaufenbuel of Fredericksburg was taken into custody by Oelwein police on a Bremer County warrant for vioation of probation. The original charge was lascivious acts with a child.

And shortly after 9am Tuesday, 20 year old Travis Norton of Strawberry Point, was arrested by Oelwein police officers on a Fayette County warrant for a condition of release violation; he was originally charged with driving while his license is suspended and eluding.
